Sport Chek Lands in Cornwall

With the opening of a brand new store in Cornwall, Sport Chek is encouraging the people of Cornwall and region to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. This includes people of all ages, who interests may range from hockey to running to golf and beyond.
The new 22,000 sq.ft. store includes footwear, clothing, sporting equipment and accessories. It has a full service section and a complement of over 50 trained sales associates to help customers find the right fit for their game – whatever it might be.
“We had over 200 people come out to our Cornwall job fair,” said Kevin Grange, District Manager. “It was one of the best recruitment campaigns we’ve ever run. We’re really happy with the people who have joined our team.”
The Cornwall store includes a Hockey Experts section, Nevada Bob’s Golf concept shop (including an indoor driving cage) and an S3 (Snow-Skate-Surf) shop. During the Grand Opening weekend, Sport Chek will match any donations customers make to its Power of Sport for Kids program. All monies raised will be donated to the Cornwall Boys and Girls Club.
“I’ve been involved in this community for quite some time, as have many of our staff,” said Kevin Lachappelle, Store Manager. “Our entire team is excited to bring the Sport Chek brand to Cornwall.”
Other Grand Opening specials include a Scratch & Save promotion (15% to 50% off the entire store) and on Saturday November 26th, the first 50 people in line will receive a $25 gift card.
The Cornwall Sport Chek store is located at the corner of Brookdale and Tollgate, in the same plaza as Winners, Michaels and PetSmart.
