Woodsmoke Bluegrass JamboreeSit back and enjoy an Ole-Tyme Music show at the First Annual Woodsmoke Bluegrass Jamboree this March 2nd and 3rd, 2012 at NAV CENTRE.

The Woodsmoke Bluegrass Jamboree is a two day Old-Time Music Show that organizers hope will help preserve and promote hand-made acoustic music.

"Bluegrass music is becoming better known as a fine art form that it so deserves and for the technically complex music that it is," said Darwin Thom, Director of Woodsmoke Bluegrass.  "The Jamboree encompasses all aspects of an old-time show such as live, unrehearsed and impromptu performances where musicians and singers alike depend on years of experience to exhibit a show that will keep an audience entrained and wanting more."

In recent years Bluegrass music has enjoyed an increase in popularity among younger listeners, who are typically more familiar with electronic-made music.

The Woodsmoke Bluegrass Jamboree will feature a lineup of top-notch Bluegrass musicians, including:

  • The Dusty Drifters
  • Handsome Molly
  • Dave Nichols & Spare Change
  • Northwind
  • Concession 23
  • The Mountin' Weasels
  • Peter Dawson
  • Chris Barkley
  • Peter & Nancy McGuire
  • Bob Vallee and more...

The show gets started on Friday March 2nd, 2012 at 7-10 pm.  There’s also the opportunity to catch the Late Night Show on Friday (10:30 on the main stage).  Take your time getting up on Saturday, as the show runs from 1-5 pm with a dinner break and then continues at 7-10 pm.  Meals and accommodations are available onsite at the NAV CENTRE.

"There will be plenty of jamming in the lounge after the stage show so bring your instruments and join in the fun!" said Mr. Thom.

Advance weekend passes are available for  $45 ($40 until February 15). Single day passes are also available. Contact Mr. Thom to reserve your tickets via
