Soaring to the Sound of Music

"We started our festival over 15 years ago with a budget of $8000 and the modest plans of giving some people hot air balloon rides. Today our budget is approaching $500,000 and 50,000 people get to enjoy acts like Tom Cochrane, Chantal Kreviazuk and Colin James on the banks of the St. Lawrence River - in addition to the chance of soaring high over the City in a balloon. Our location between Ottawa and Montreal is very convenient for the balloon pilots and musical acts, as well as the being an easy drive for fesitval goers in both cities."
